Not So Wordless Wednesday – Belly Monsters Tackle The Niagara Region

“Oh yeeeaahhh, Ford Canada is letting me use a car for the weekend!”

“What??!! Can we use it for our crawl?”

“Yeah, I wonder if we can get two and maybe do an out of town trip!”

And that, or something very similar, was how the latest Belly Monsters crawl was conceived. Originally we  planned to eat our way through Brampton, but with two, brand new Ford vehicles and the open roads, we decided to see what the Niagara region had to offer.

The responsibility of mapping out the places to gorge ourselves fell on Road Warrior Sid, and what a job he did. Here are the places he mapped out for us:

  1. Memphis Fire Barbecue Company –  Hamilton
  2. Dillon’s Distillers – Beamsville
  3. El Gastronomo Vagabundo – St. Catherine’s
  4. Silversmith Brewing Company – Niagara On The Lake
  5. The Pie Plate – Niagara On The Lake
  6. Ravine Vineyard – Niagara
  7. The Smokin’ Buddha – Port Colbourne
  8. The Guilty Burger – St. Catherine’s
  9. Chocolates Etc. – Niagara

Now keep in mind that this wasn’t done over the course of a couple of days, we ate at ALL of these places in ONE day, plus somebody, or two, had ice cream at McDonald’s. Don’t judge us!

This was an epic crawl, but unfortunately not all of the Belly Monsters made it out.  We had Sid, Chanry, Adrienne, and myself.  We also allowed some wannabe Monsters to join like Chanry’s sister, Charaya, and my wife and kids.  I couldn’t have asked for a better day and better company. Thanks again to Ford Canada for giving up the opportunity to use these two cars.
