Welcome to my very first post!

A while back I was at home making dinner and I mentioned to my wife that since everything I do seems to revolve around food maybe I should start a blog. She looked at me and in her ‘Look I’m starving so stop babbling and finish cooking so we can eat’ voice said ‘Yeah, you should, I think that you’d be good at it’. After being married for almost 18 years this woman knows that food is one of the things that truly excites me. One of the most difficult things for me to do is to get up from my warm bed on a Sunday morning, but I’ll be the first one up and ready if I know I’m going to be hitting up a new restaurant or market.

A couple of weeks after getting that nugget of advice from my wife I started talking to the guys from the Kung Fu Taco, who I’ve been following on Twitter for quite a while, and Sang Kim, owner of Yakitori Bar and Seoul Food Company. I mentioned my ideas about the type of content that I want to produce for this blog and immediately they were offering words of encouragement and advice. I can’t begin to thank them.

For the blog I wanted to do something different other than restaurant reviews or recipe posting. As the title says, I want to talk to and about the people behind the food that you and I eat. I want to talk to the chefs, the wait staff, the farmers, the real people behind the food. It’ll still feature restaurant reviews but along with the actual food, I’ll be relaying the stories of the people involved in the plate of food that we’re enjoying.

This is my first attempt at blogging, I’m sure along the way I’ll make some mistakes but I hope that I’ll also produce some work that you’ll enjoy reading.

Thanks for coming by to check out my blog.
