There’s something about the taste of grilled food that just screams summer to me. Relaxing outside with a perfectly cooked steak, some grilled corn or veggies and a cold beer is the perfect way to spend an evening.
Since this is the start of grilling season I headed up to Ontario Gas BBQ to check out the live demonstration by Weber and Broil King. While I was up there I found out a few interesting facts about the store. Now in their 30th year of operation, Ontario Gas BBQ has grown to be the World`s Largest Barbecue and Grill Store, as well as the World`s Largest Barbeque and Grill Showroom. This is just one half of the showroom, as you can see they stock almost every brand of grill that’s available, as well as the parts and accessories to make grilling more enjoyable. They like to say “We know barbecues from the inside out”. Even though they have the word ‘gas’ in their company name, Ontario Gas BBQ displays and stocks well over 150 different barbecues from propane, natural gas, charcoal, electric, smokers, pits etc.
If you happen to own a charcoal grill, they also have you covered. In The Charcoal Room you’ll find hardwood charcoals from various countries from around the world such as Mexico, Argentina, Jamaica, Indonesia and others. These charcoals contain no additives, no chemicals and no softwoods. Just as soil affects the taste of wine, charcoal from different woods and locations affect the final taste of your BBQ dishes.
As I mentioned before, the real reason I visited Ontario Gas BBQ was to check out the live demo from Weber and Broil King. Weber demonstrated their Genesis S-330 model, which features their Sear Station Burners. These burners deliver really high heat thereby ensuring that your steaks are properly seared. Unfortunately they weren’t grilling up steaks on the day I was there, but instead, they were preparing a beer can chicken.
The other manufacturer showcasing one of their grills was Broil King with their Keg 4000. This is their version of another famous Green grill, but from what I was told it performs better, is stronger, and, unlike other grills, when the heat inside is at it’s highest temperature the outside is just warm to the touch.
Take my advice and head up to Ontario Gas BBQ. We only have a few months of grilling-friendly weather so go visit them and get all the information and tools to make this a delicious summer. Their staff is friendly and very knowledgeable so they’ll be able to answer any questions that you may have.

Hi
My son in law and I did an evening course with you 2 years ago. We had a great time and we purchased 2 digital thermometers from you. Well his bit the dust today and if possible I’d like to order 3 more. They were priced at $11 that night. Would it be possible for you to send the to me? If so I’ll call and give you my credit card #. Thank you. Mary Jane Ciurluini
Hi there, thanks for your message. I’m sorry but I do not work from the store. This story was just a review of the store and some of their products.
